Mexico Child Link is a UK registered charity which sponsors projects in Atlixco & Puebla, Mexico for homeless, abandoned and orphan children with learning disability, many of whom are ex street children.

Our main project expense is funding the wages of our staff team, as the children and young people we work with need a lot of one to one attention and special help due to their learning disability.
Staff costs are approximately 75% of our total expenditure in Mexico. All the staff are Mexican and are locally recruited and trained.

$5,000 would pay the salary of a specialist houseparent for a year. She would work with up to 12 children with special needs.

$4,000 would pay the salary of a house helper. She would work with up to 12 children with special needs.

$3,000 would pay the salary of a part time carpentry trainer for the children and young people.

$5,000 would buy all the food and provisions for one of the children’s houses for a year. (6 children)

$1,000 would cover routine medical expenses for a year. (12 children)

$600 would pay the irrigation water for the farm where the children learn agricultural skills for a year.

$10,000 would finish a small house which we hope to build for two of the young people with learning disability, Esteban Ortega and Argelio Avila. We have submitted a funding proposal to the Royal Institute of British Architects for the main part of the expenditure.
