Mexico project work - developing a range of servicesThe original idea behind Mexico Child Link was to set up a project for abandoned and orphan children with learning disabilities, in Puebla, Mexico. This was achieved in 1995 when a residential project was opened in Tenextepec, Atlixco. The project has now evolved into a range of services for people with or affected by the issue of learning disability, in partnership with local NGOs and Mexican Government agencies. Mexico Child Link works in partnership with Fundación Trébol de Puebla AC, a Mexican non profit NGO which we have helped to fund and develop. We currently fund a staff group of 12 who look after the children and carry out a range of programmes. Mexican project work currently includes:
